The Alamedas’ Story
Giving back has been at the core of George and Susan’s values. They hope their contribution to the new Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center Intensive Care Unit will inspire others to take action and provide hope and healing to patients receiving critical care.
Susan and George Alameda | Generosity Inspires
Susan Alameda is the lead volunteer for the Critical Care Information Desk at Asante Rogue Regional. Both she and her husband George hold strong convictions of the power of giving back and leading by example.
George’s career with Chevron allowed them to live and travel to various locations around the world, and the couple witnessed first-hand the impact of even the smallest of gestures for individuals living under difficult circumstances. This has developed their belief that the act of helping others inspires future philanthropy, volunteerism, and provides hope for others knowing that someone cares about them.
With George’s involvement as a Foundation Board Member and Susan’s active volunteerism in the ICU, both believe Asante is the cornerstone for health care in our community. They are excited that their gift to name the new ICU in the patient pavilion will help create a space that creates a healing environment for patients and healthcare workers.
“This is about the community helping build it, so it becomes ours.”
—George Alameda
