Jo’s Story
When Jo Saleska learned she had breast cancer, she had just begun a new term in school.
Grateful for Encouragement
Jo is deeply grateful for the care and compassion she received at Asante while undergoing chemotherapy, radiation and surgery for two years – all while earning her professional medical coder certification.
Jo is now the lead medical coder for Asante Physician Partners and most importantly, cancer free! She adores her position and the warmhearted family within Asante.
The love and care Jo received at Asante encourages her to give back. She is a Champion for the Spears Cancer Center, attends Asante Foundation’s coffee clubs and chats, and has her paychecks set to automatically deduct donations.
“It’s just the right thing to do. It makes me feel good that I’m able to give [to Asante] now because I had nothing and they gave me everything.”
She’s certainly paying it forward. Keep inspiring, Jo.
“I’ve never met more caring and generous people. There’s always someone there, ready to help.”
—Jo
