Patient Tower | Centers of Excellence
What is a center of excellence?
A center of excellence designation in health care means an exceptionally high concentration of expertise and related resources centered on a particular area of medicine. Patients and the community benefit because centers of excellence have the ability to dramatically enhance the scope and depth of services they provide.
Preparing for the future
Asante strives to deliver both exceptional health care today, as well as prepare for our community’s needs over the next 20-30 years. The solutions to those long-term goals are specialized centers that can meet our greatest needs, as well as attract and retain top providers. These specialized centers offer the flexibility to adapt to the rapidly advancing technologies and constantly changing landscape of health care.
Centers of excellence at Asante include:
- Women’s and Children’s Health
- Cardiovascular Institute/Cardiology
- Advanced Surgical Services
- Critical Care
Once funding is secured, a new Center of Excellence dedicated to the neurosciences will be established.
A Women’s & Children’s Health Story
A brand new Women’s & Children’s Health Center will reside within the new patient tower. Meet Mike and baby Liam, who stayed in Asante’s Neonatal Intensive Care unit for 22 days after his birth.
