On Saturday, July 13, Asante Foundation hosted the Asante Three Rivers Medical Center Emergency Department groundbreaking celebration! Thank you to our generous donors, Champions, leadership and the community for gathering, and supporting, this much-needed initiative.

The current Asante Three Rivers Emergency Department opened in 2001 and was built to serve 27,000 patients annually. With a nearly 50 percent increase in patient volume over the past 18 years — and sustained growth expected each year — there’s an urgent need to expand and modernize.

“The expansion will have an immediate and lasting impact on the people in Josephine County,” said Andrea Reeder, Asante Foundation’s campaign director. “Once completed, the emergency department should accommodate growth for the next 20 years.”

At the event, Evergreen Federal Bank, announced its support for the Emergency Department expansion – pledging $50,000 towards the project.

A major improvement for the Asante Three Rivers Emergency Department will be the addition of two full-size trauma and resuscitation rooms large enough to hold the size of teams needed to respond to a critical health issue. The expansion project includes a helicopter landing zone; a “hold room” and four “flex rooms” for patients with behavioral health needs; and 11 more beds.

We invite you to become part of a team that mends broken bones, saves lives and brings comfort during frightening times. Learn more about how you can support this initiative.
