AsanteForward launched in 2019 as the region’s most ambitious and significant philanthropic effort to date. The purpose of the campaign was to transform the quality and scope of health care available in Asante’s nine-county region, providing residents with exceptional medical care in our own community.

Today, that transformation continues, through AsanteForward2030, but the underlying message stays consistent—this COMMUNITY DESERVES more; the very best health care and services right here, close to home. And unlike large institutions, Asante only transforms and progresses because of community ownership.

Campaign Initiatives

AsanteForward2030 is a comprehensive campaign, with three main initiatives and several other ongoing opportunities. The three key focus areas include: Cardiac care expansion, The Family House expansion and cancer care.

Cardiac care

Asante’s heart and vascular program is nationally recognized for providing outstanding cardiac care. State-of-the-art facilities give patients throughout Southern Oregon access to dedicated and experienced cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons. This initiative will ensure our growing population continues to receive the best cardiac services and increased access.

The Family House expansion

Since 2008, The Family House has been a pillar of support for countless families. Providing an affordable, accessible, home-like setting where patients and their families can find refuge during their medical journey. However, the demand for our services continues to grow and there is an urgent need for more capacity.

Medical oncology renovation: cancer care inside the hospital

Every one of us knows someone, loves someone or is someone with cancer. United by this experience, our community is coming together to transform cancer care for our region. We’ve proven our resolve with the opening of Asante’s Mary and Dick Heimann Cancer Center in Medford and the expansion of the Helen K. Spears Cancer Center in Grants Pass. These watershed moments were just the beginning. Our next strategic efforts will shape the way people with the most acute needs receive cancer care while staying in the hospital and will enhance the services available to every cancer patient. Together, we face an illness that touches us all and we fight back with courage, compassion and the most advanced treatment possible – close to home.
